Cabins at Denali is located on the bank of the Nenana River, which forms the boundary of Denali National Park. They are the closest lodging to the entrance to Denali National Park
Our lodging units are limited — only 2 cabins and 1 suite.
Views: All 3 units have beautiful views; the views from the back decks of the cabins are spectacular wilderness river views that come with their own nature provided sound effects, the rushing glacier fed Nenana River is just feet below.
Size: Family friendly, the cabins are about 1000 square feet; the “Suite” is about 600 square feet.
Denali Location: If you are driving north from Anchorage, you will pass the entrance to Denali National Park at Milepost 237.5; continue about 1/3 mile north and when you are crossing the bridge of the Nenana River, look to the right. That's us! The Pedestrian Walkway that connects the commercial shopping area for Denali and the facilities inside Denali National Park is right across the street from us. The commercial shopping area begins about the distance of 2 city blocks from us. Facilities inside Denali within a 30 minute walk of us include the Visitors Center, Wilderness Access Center (for shuttle bus rides into the Park), the Post Office, a small grocery store, and the Murie Science and Learning Center.
What We Provide
Clean, comfortable, casual, family friendly lodging. The cabins are spacious — plenty of room for the kids to move around. Including the decks, your cabin is 4 times the size of an average hotel room in Denali.
Rustic setting. For your stay with us, enjoy what the cabins offer: the sounds of a rushing river, gorgeous wilderness view, a setting conducive to relaxing with your family on the back deck, playing games in the living area and laughing with the kids.
If you need linens or towels, just come to the office and let us know. You are welcome to use all you need. Once you check in, we probably won't bother you except to inquire when we see you as to whether you are having a good time. Obviously, if you are staying with us for more than 3 days, at some point during that stay, we'd come in and tidy up and change out the sheets and other linens.
Ideal location near the entrance to Denali National Park — very easy to find and right next to the Denali facilities you traveled to Alaska to enjoy.
Shuttle service to and from the Alaska Railroad. We do not provide local shuttle service during the day. You're on your own for getting to restaurants, etc.
What we're NOT.
We're not a full service hotel. If you require on site restaurants, room service, or shuttle service or if walking a block on gravel is difficult for you, you should probably consider other lodging.
Our pick would be the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. It is a beautiful, full service hotel with restaurants, room service, and a large, helpful staff on duty 24 hours a day. It's just up the road from us about 1/2 mile.
